Flipbooks are very easy to create and share. In this tutorial, I will show you how to create a flipbook using Heyzine, one of the most affordable and popular flipbook software.

Heyzine is a free PDF to flipbook converter tool that allows users to convert a PDF into an interactive flipbook. Beginners can create up to 5 flipbooks under the free plan. Below is the step-by-step process to create flipbooks using Heyzine.

Step 1: Create a Free Account on Heyzine

To create a free account on Heyzine, click on this link – Join Heyzine for Free. It will take you to the Home Page of the Heyzine website. Now, click on the Sign Up button located at the top-right of the home page. Now, you can either create your account with your Google account, or with your other email address.

After creating your account, you will be taken to the Heyzine Dashboard which is exactly similar to its Home Page.

Step 2: Upload PDF

To create a flipbook, you will need to upload your PDF from the Heyzine Dashboard. If you already have a PDF then you simply need to upload it. However, if you don’t have one and you want to create a PDF from scratch then you will need to take the help of software like Adobe Acrobat Pro or word processing software like Google Docs or Microsoft Word.

When you create PDF documents with Adobe Acrobat Pro or other PDF editing software, you can easily add multimedia elements like links, videos, audio, forms, and more. However, if you need to create simple PDFs, free software like Google Docs and MS Word will be more than enough.

All these software offers multiple export options. So, you can easily export your content in PDF format. For example, in MS Word, you just need to click on File >> Export >> Create PDF Document. And in Google Docs, you will need to click on File >> Download >> PDF Document. After selecting any of these options, a PDF file will be downloaded to your computer.

Now, you need to add this PDF to Heyzine. To upload it, click on the Upload button as shown below and select your PDF file from your computer.

After adding the PDF, the upload process will start and within a few seconds, it will be uploaded to your account.

• Add Title and Subtitle to the flipbook.
• Change the page effect. By default, the Magazine effect is selected. Other page effects are Book, Album, Notebook, Slider, Cards, Coverflow, and One page.
• Share the flipbook with your readers via a link, web embed, email, social, and QR code.

Step 3: Edit Flipbook

To customize your digital flipbook, you need to click on the customize button as mentioned in Step 2. It will take you to the Heyzine admin page as shown below.

On the Heyzine admin page, you get the following options to edit your flipbook.

• Add title, page effect, background, logo, controls, table of contents, and background audio.
• Add a password to your flipbook
• Add a lead form to build your email list
• Add interactive elements like links, images, videos, audio, or a web page.

Step 4: Share Flipbook

After you’ve finished editing your digital flipbook, you will need to share it with your target audience. Heyzine offers multiple ways to share a flipbook.

In the above screenshot, you can see that you get many options to share a flipbook. For example, you can share the flipbook directly with your readers using the link provided or via email. Or, if you want to embed the flipbook on your website, you can do so by adding the HTML code to your website.

You can also share your flipbook directly on social media pages from the Heyzine website. Some of the popular social media websites where you can share flipbooks are Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Reddit, WhatsApp, Telegram, and more. QR code and download are some of the other options for sharing.
