Designrr can help convert multiple sources of existing content like blog articles, videos, podcasts, old PDFs, and documents into an ebook. In this tutorial, we will cover how to convert a blog post into an ebook using Designrr.
Designrr is a popular ebook creator software using which users can create ebooks from their existing published content like blog articles, videos, old PDFs, podcasts, Google documents, Word documents, and more. It is a web-based tool which means you can use it on platforms like Windows, Mac, or Ubuntu. You just need a working internet connection to work with Designrr.
Designrr also offers hundreds of templates to design your ebook. These templates are fully customizable. Using the Designrr editor, you can add your logos, fonts, images, backgrounds, and links. You can even add a table of contents, page numbers, call-to-action buttons, set margins & padding, etc.
If you don’t have existing content even then you can use Designrr to create ebooks. You can write content for the ebook yourself or you can use the AI tool offered by Designrr called Wordgenie to write the content for you. This AI tool is based on ChatGPT and can easily write 2000 to 10000 words of ebook content on any niche or topic.
The Designrr pricing plan is based on a subscription model. Its monthly subscription plan starts at $29 per month (for the Standard plan) and goes up to $99 per month. But you can also get its Standard Plan ($29/month) by claiming the Designrr lifetime deal by paying a one-time fee of only $27 using the link below.
Get Designrr at only $27To learn more about the plans offered by Designrr, visit this link – Designrr Pricing Plans. As a disclaimer, I want to point out that a couple of years ago I bought the Designrr Standard Plan at only $27 by claiming its lifetime deal. The Standard Plan allows you to create ebooks in PDF format only. For other formats like EPUB, Kindle, HTML, and Live Ebook, you would need to subscribe to the higher-tier plan. For most users, the Standard plan would suffice as you can download your created ebooks in PDF and also as a flipbook.
In the next section, we will learn how to convert an existing blog post into an ebook using Designrr.
Converting Blog Posts into an Ebook
Below you’ll get a step-by-step process to create an ebook from your existing blog posts.
Step 1: Log in to your Designrr account by visiting this link – Designrr. If you don’t have an account yet, get the special lifetime deal here. After you log in, you will be taken to the Designrr Dashboard which will look like the screenshot below.
To create a new ebook, click on the option – New eBook, as shown above.
Step 2: Now, you will need to select the format for the ebook. Click on format and you’ll get some ebook formats to choose from. On the Standard Plan, only PDF and Flipbook are available. Click on PDF to move on to the next step.
Step 3: Now, click on Select as shown below. It will display the following options to create or import content for the ebook:
- Upload file/Insert link
- From existing doc
- Use wordgenie
- Start writing
- Choose a template
Choose the option – Upload file/Insert link.
Next, you will be asked to choose your source document or URL. Since we’re trying to import content from an existing article, we will choose Import from Blog post or URL. See the below screenshot.
Step 4: Enter the URL of the blog post under the option – Import from URL. After entering the URL, click on Add. Designrr allows you to create ebooks from multiple blog posts. So, if you want to import content from two or more blog posts, you can again enter your blog URL here as shown below. After entering the URL, again click on Add. Please note that you need to enter one URL at a time.
After adding the URLs, click on the Apply button. See the below image.
Next, you will need to select a theme for your ebook. Designrr will suggest some popular themes as shown below. Select a theme that is related to your ebook topic or niche. After selecting a theme, click on the Let’s start button.
Step 5: Designrr offers several customizable ebook templates under different categories. In this step, Designrr will display ebook templates related to the theme you selected in the last step. Select a template that you like to move on to the next step.
As you select a template, you will taken to the Designrr Editor, and the content of the blog post you added in the earlier step will automatically be imported into the editor. In the below screenshot, you can see that my blog content has been successfully imported.
While working with the Designrr editor you get access to the following features:
- Elements: Under this tab, you can use elements like Import content, New page, Page break, Table of Contents, Page number, Call to Action, Inline CTA, and Table.
- Text: This tab allows you to add Headings, Paragraphs, Ordered Lists, Unordered Lists, Links, and Author Names.
- Images: Designrr offers in-built integration with Unsplash that allows users to add quality images to their ebooks.
- Artwork & Shapes: You can add shapes (rectangle, circle, triangle, star, arrow, horizontal, and vertical) and icons to your ebook.
- Layouts: If you want to add columns to your ebook, you can do that using the Layouts tab. Under this tab, you can add different sizes of columns (2 columns, 3 columns, 4 columns), cover page, back page, and even grid layout.
- Templates: After importing content, if you don’t like the template you had chosen earlier, you can change it from the templates. Just select the template you like, and it will automatically be applied to your ebook.
Step 6: Once you’re happy with the design of your ebook, you can preview it in full screen by clicking the preview (eye) button located at the bottom left of the screen as shown below.
Finally, if you want to download the ebook to your computer in formats like PDF, Flipbooks, Kindle, EPUB, and iBooks, you need to click on the Publish button located to the right of the preview button.
After you hit the Publish button, you will get a screen like this:
Now, depending on the plan you have subscribed to, you will get access to the publishing formats. I mean that if you are on the Standard plan, then you can download the ebooks as PDF and Flipbooks. However, if you are on a higher tier plan like Pro or Premium, you can export your ebooks in additional formats like Kindle, audiobooks, EPUB, and Live ebook.
After saving the ebook to your computer, you can now share it with your readers on your blog, social media, and emails. If you have checked the Designrr bonuses, you might have seen that you also get a commercial license to sell your ebook on market places like Amazon, Barnes & Nobles, Payhip, or Sellfy.
That’s it, by following the six easy steps, you can easily convert a blog post into an ebook.
